Topeak Ride Case RX with Sport Camera Mount

I've looked at a lot of the case systems for mounting a smartphone or camera on a bike, and the weakness in most of them is the mount. Even the mount that Topeak includes with its cases is pretty lame, and is liable to put your phone at risk.Well, not this mount. It's well-designed, well-built, and rock-solid. The mount adjustment feature means that it's compatible with almost any modern stem that uses a 4-bolt front clamp plate (and probably also with those that have a unitized clamp with 2 bolts). When I slip my phone onto this mount, I have full confidence that it's still going to be there at the end of my ride.What's especially awesome is that this combo pack with the Sport Camera Mount actually costs less on Amazon than just the RX mount by itself (and I think it was less than the Sport Camera Mount, for that matter). As long as you can work with one of the Topeak phone cases, this is the system for you!Personally, I use my iPhone 6s (in an Incipio Dual case) inside a Topeak iPhone 6 Plus Dry Bag. It's a little bit loose inside the bag, but that's easy to fix, keeps me from having to swap hard cases just to ride (I'd never want to carry a Topeak hard Ride Case in my pocket), and keeps the phone dry if I get caught in some unexpected rain (or worse). I *do* have to use a bluetooth headset instead of ear buds, but who wants to have his head tethered to the handle bar in the event of a quick dismount, after all? Not me!

Even includes an underseat mount for an additional camera.Now I just wish Topeak would release cellphone cases for something than APPLE.C'mon Topeak, over 1/2 the world doesn't use Apple products, make cases that fit something else. Fortunately several other companies make stick-on RideCase style mounts that are under $10...so I mounted one on an Otterbox & I have a great case for a Samsung Galaxy phone newer than an S4. I've also mounted one on a Mophie JuicePack, and I have a powered secure mount for bicycle and motorcycle.

Solid, slick mount. Far and away the best mount for phones that I’ve found after weeks of trying to find one like it. Looks great on the roadbike. Haven't used the GoPro mount yet, but it also looks easy to use.

Sturdy and works great but Topeak could surely sell the adapter piece separately. I had purchased the standalone version of the RX mount just months prior and now have to repurchase it for the adapter. Secondly, the mount itself isn't quite as long as their original stem mount. So for anyone that is trying to mount a phone larger than 5" on the lower stem bolts with the RX mount won't have the clearance for it. Aside from that, it really is a great accessory to have for those of you that enjoy loading up on gadgets on your handlebars.
