I purchased this nightstand for the bedroom, and liked it so much I placed it in the living room. Any piece of furniture with drawers is difficult to put together, and this piece is no exception to the rule. It's a PAIN in the butt. This is my advice about putting furniture together and applies to any piece of Baxton furniture.1. When you order your furniture, also place an order for a battery powered screwdriver, which you will thank me for later. For less than ten dollars you can expedite the assembly and save yourself from the pain and purgatory that comes from using elbow grease and a manual screwdriver. Remove the pieces carefully from the box, inspect the materials for any damage, while checking the inventory to ensure you have every piece of wood and hardware you need to completely assemble the furniture.3. Follow Baxton's instructions step by step. Don't cut corners or think you know better. Assembling this nightstand is a nightmare for anyone not accustomed to working with tools and screws. *review updated! From 5 star to 2* less than a year after ordering(ordered April 2019 and it's now jan2020) the top of one has begun to peel off in different spots. I have tape on it so it doesn't peel anymore! Don't order them! Spend the money for better ones. No, they didn't break the bank but I definitely expected them to last longer than 9 months!Original review: ordered two and each were delivered in perfect condition and were pretty simple to put together with the included instructions. They still look great and have no signs of wear after about 7 months. Easy to wipe clean and plenty of room for storage inside.

It was super hard to assemble. I had to hire a guy to do it. He said of all the furniture he has ever assembled, this was one of the most difficult. Not good instructions. The piece itself is sturdy but the hinges broke the next day. By the time you pay to have it assembled, it is not a good value.

I love the look of this piece of furniture but I thought it would be more sturdy. I do like it and will keep it but probably will go with a little better made product next time. Assembly took a while for me. I thought the instructions could have been a little more detailed but I did figure it out.

Hate that it says it can cause cancer!! Being a cancer survivor is the least I want from a piece of furniture. Wish I can return this but its impossible to put it back in the box. Would like to send it back and get my money so I can buy something different.

My husband said we got what we paid for - looks ok, but a very cheaply made product. Also isn't as dark as the picture makes it look. We thought we were getting something that matched our dresser, but not quite. We're keeping tho, as it's not a big deal they don't perfectly match or that we have a more expensive piece of furniture in our bedroom, as this is in our vacation home.(I don't know why it says "(Kitchen)" at the end of the description!)

Pretty good for the price. Assembly required, which wasn't a huge deal but some pieces weren't cut to fit perfectly, but I was able to problem solve. The door is slightly crooked despite my best efforts.

If you’ve ever thought about buying a 500 piece puzzle that is confusing to do well you’ve found it! These instructions make absolutely no sense it shows you putting pieces together before they’re supposed to be together, I would expect such a large company to be able to provide proper instructions
