Worked for one day
I wanted to create a server cabinet temperature monitor that would email me an alert should the air conditioning fail and the temperature got too high.Hooked this up to the Arduino IDE and managed to upload a couple of demo apps. All good until the following day when I started working on the temperature monitor app. Tried to upload it and it just failed at flashing. It appeared to be boot looping during flashing, I even tried different PCs and cables.The serial monitor showed that it was having issues going into programming mode when pressing PRG and would just reboot. Only now and then would it say ready to download.But now it's dead and does nothing now so it's now land full.

Tolles Teil!
Ausprobiert sofort nach dem Erhalt: WLAN funktioniert, Bluetooth funktioniert, Hersteller Doku existiert. Auch micropython kann man flashen (micropython esp32 Generic).Upload geht so: reset und program Button gleichzeitig gedrückt halten und reset button loslassen, in der seriellen Konsole erscheint dann die Meldung „waiting for download“ o.ä.USB Treiber von siliconlabs kann erforderlich sein.

Produktfehler am Display
Habe das ESP32 Board erst zwei Monate nach Kauf ausprobieren können und leider hat das Produkt einen Mangel. Von Beginn an flackert das Display (an/aus), sobald man auch nur das Flachbandkabel berührt. Nun nach einigen Tests und Erweiterungen der Software ist das Display komplett dunkel und das Board daher nicht mehr für den eigentlichen Zweck nutzbar. Dafür ist das echt zu teuer....

Great device, really surprised of how much you can do with this, this is the Heltec version, and their official website contains good documentation, also libraries for Arduino IDE, all code available in github in their official repository, although i believe can be used with Python too

PORT wird nicht erkannt, Arduino upload nicht möglich
trotz mehrere Versuche mit unterschiedlichen Laptops wird der Port nicht erkannt.Ich hatte bis heute noch nie ein Problem mit ESP8266 Derivaten aber dieser ist wirklich nicht nutzbar.Mir war wichtig, das 8MB RAM wichtig - leider konnte ich hier diese Angabe nicht überprüfen ;(
