Handmade???
I question the ''Made in Japan'' and ''handmade'' claim of this product. Mugs that are made in Japan and handmade do not have any embossing at the bottom of the mug (but rather Japanese writing), and don't appear to have been machine made - i.e. flawless with almost perfect edges. Moreover, handmade Japanese mugs are shipped in a paper box and come with a certificate of authenticity; the mug I received had no documentation and was placed in a corrugated box.
