Comfiest boots I own. Do not size up! Order your usual size
Just got these boots in the other day. I haven't had a chance to put them to the test yet, but so far the construction is actually kinda impressive. (I will certainly come back and edit this review if they fail quickly though.)[UPDATE 2022: Still going very strong after about 6 months of total daily use! Faux fur at the cuffs is starting to look a bit worn in (still looks presentable and good though), and the seams are tight and as waterproof as ever. Ok now back to the original review)The sole and uppers appear to be a single piece of rubber, so there's nothing to delaminate or offer a point of entry for water. Even that tan strip along the rim of the sole (on the brown models) is just a streak of color cast into the same body of rubber. The sole (heh) exception to that "single piece of rubber" bit mentioned above is a section of rubber stitched over the back of the heels, over the heel counter. I'll pool test that seam to check if they properly sealed the stitching on the inside, but so far it looks solid. The uppers are a combination of top-grain leather and a stiff and dense felt-like material. As for the inside liner: the top 3 inches of the shaft consists of an artificial shearling material, with the rest of the interior being a synthetic thermal fleece. I've actually been wearing them as slippers in a room that gets near freezing at night, and they're quite the toasty bois. The insoles are the usual cheap $0.50 things that practically all manufacturers insist on sticking into their shoes. Literally every brand from Nike to Airwalks are guilty of doing this, so no surprises there. That said, these cheap insoles are easily twice as thick as the usual stuff you end up with, so they're actually very cushy and comfortable in their own right. The default insoles offer no arch support, but if arch support is important to you, chances are you already got a pair of proper Powerstep or Superfeet insoles to swap out with these instead, so I consider that a non-issue.The boots are very stiff when you get them, (they also seem to have a proper shank, which is a plus) but they are so heavily padded on all sides that they feel extremely comfortable on your feet even on the first wear--that is, IF you get them in your proper/usual size.I originally heeded everyone's advice on winter boots and ordered these half a size larger than usual. But I ran into a problem: the boot's sizing already accounts for winter socks. :pSo basically my heels did not seat into the boot properly, and there was quite a bit of play/room for wiggle in the heel/vamp region even when fully-laced. It was enough to be alright for short walks, but it was loose enough that it would've caused chafing issues with any walking activity longer than fetching the mail or putzing around the property. Not something you want in shoes meant for day-to-day use.I returned them and ordered another pair in my usual size (half a size below the first pair), and they fit perfectly with both normal cotton crew socks and my thick, wool snowboarding socks. My toes had a centimeter of wiggle room from the front of the toebox, and my heels seated securely enough that I could just use these as slip-ons without laces if I wanted, and not notice the difference. (Then again, I'm skinny so my feet are fairly normal. "Chunkier" feet/ankles may require that half a size jump up.)

Customer service earned back 3 more stars
These are as waterproof as a sponge. Originally we ordered a pair in brown and then grey for our two kids. We didn't get any decent snow to try them out until this last snowstorm and guess what. Waterproof my butt! Both kids feet were as wet as they just took a bath in their socks. And of course the return window is closed so we are stuck with 2 pairs of POS boots. I guess the dog is going to have 4 new chewy toys. Way to screw the consumer out of $90 Nortiv8.Update: 01/04/22As the previous update didn't take, here is another go at it.I bought these boots in Dec. of 2020 and wrote the above review in early 2021 after we tried to use them in our first snow. Well I was contacted just a few days past the 1 year mark of the original purchase date. I was informed that they have switched manufacturers and hope to see improved product quality. They also offered to send replacement boots or to refund the purchase of the boots.Well as I said it had been over a year and we have long since moved on to different boots as well as different sizes since then. Although it was long in the tooth of a response to the review, it is good to know that the company does care and look at such things. And with over 2300 reviews, I'm sure a single one can get missed for a while. So I hope this new manufacturer can address the deficiencies that we encountered, and take comfort in knowing that this is a company that does listen to customers and does their best to rectify any problems. So while the 4 stars I have bumped these up to is not necessarily a reflection of the products by themselves, I feel it is warranted as when I purchase something, I'm not buying it for the item, but the also the knowledge that they are being supported and stood behind by the company that makes them.

Worth the purchase
We buy this brand and style boot for my husband every year. He goes through boots like crazy, so I appreciate the price because expensive or cheap, I give them 3 months and he already needs new boots and these definitely do the job and do it well while he has them! Again, repeat purchaser here.

Soles
Soles did not hold up after 3 months of wear. Feet get wet everytime it rains now.

Stop Looking and Get These
These boots are awesome. They are great snow-boots - the perfect combination of functionality and style. Now I just got them and I haven't tested them in the elements but I am confident they will be able to handle the upstate New York winter without a problem. I'll update my review after I shovel my driveway in 0 degree temperatures. But for now they are a 5 star purchase. At this price point I would give them 10 stars if I could.I did a TON of research before getting these. My concerns were the weight and the quality after reading as many reviews as I could. They are snow-boots - they are going to have some weight to them. These are actually lighter than many of the highly rated snow-boots from Columbia or any other name brand out there. It's a non-issue. The quality seems amazing. I feel like I'm wearing $200 snow boots. Stop looking and place your order. I'm a foot size 10.5 and I ordered size 10.5. They may be a smidge large - but when I have my comfy socks on they will be perfect. True to size. There isn't a negative thing to say about these.

Very Impressed
When it comes to boots I am not a fan, especially snow boots because of the discomfort and stiffness but I will say that these boot not only are waterproof but are fairly comfortable, granted they are stiff but it still gave support along with dry warm feet while shoving away not just snow but slush, my feet remained dry, warm and yes even comfortable unenough to surpress my lower back issues, all in all I am very happy with my purchase and if they last long enough then of course I would buy again.....

Good value - suprirsingly warm!
Got these boots yesterday, just for regular use and something not so heavy to wear to and from work. It's -40 here in Edmonton right now (without windchill, coldest place on earth right now). I wore them last night to test them out while shovelling snow in the extreme cold.I am completly shocked as to how warm these boots are! Feet stayed dry and warm for a full 30 minutes in the extreme cold. Grips were okay on the ice too. They were a bit heavier than I expected and the size was slightly off. I ordered a size 10.5 and the boots are slightly big (I normally wear 10.5 in all other footwear). Good if you want to wear thicker socks in the winter. For a perfect fit, may want to consider a size 10. But beyond that, quite impressed, great value for the price!

*UPDATED*Small and not waterproof
I was very eager to get these boots, they looked nice and had rave reviews and a good price too....Unfortunately uppon arrival I was deceived at first by the felt-like fabric which will soak up salty puddle water this winter, and then by the small sole compared to any others of my shoes or boots, then by the fact that my wide feet were tight-ish even in summer socks and finally after wearing them 2 days I went through a rainy day and anything above the rubber part isnt waterproof at all.Yup...you get what you pay for after all!Hey, at least they are comfortable.*UPDATE*We got our first snow, -5degC about 2 inches of snow. Went light trail walking with the kids......wet and cold feet after 15 minutes.I do not recommend these boots!

Uncomfortable and stiff
The boots ride your ankle/calf and the material is so stiff all it does is rub against your skin, has no flex at all to allow you to walk in, not entirely sure why there are so many 4/5 star reviews, perhaps they are shipping different products to different people because pictures also show different products, perhaps these people only use the boots for 10 minutes once a year, because they are so uncomfortable to use, they are also not waterproof at all, nor are they ankle height they are much higher. garbage product and lies all over the description.

It's a boot that wears like a boot
It's been great for over 2 years now! The only issue was at the beginning, it seemed in shipping the ankle was bent in causing for terrible discomfort when walking longer distances. However, after finding it, I just stuck some cardboard in there for a few days and it fixed the issue. These boots are great! They've lasted through -50 Canadian winters, and ridiculous storms. Highly recommend

Quality Warm Boot
To get the sizing out of the way, my feet are exactly 11" long and 3 1/2" wide and a size 11 fit perfectly. They are made from quality materials and do not slide easily on ice. I took out the foam liners and installed lamb wool inserts and they kept my feet warm in -8 Celcius. I think the original liners would do a pretty good job but wanted the extra warmth. Even with adding the wool liners, the price was very good. The boots arrived well packaged and very fast with Amazon Prime. I would recommend this seller.
