I really love this book! It has a great Classroom style that makes it very easy to use. TONS of beautiful pictures explain every step. I am a beginner at felting and had some questions about technique and general rough spots that I was running into and Liza answered them all. The projects are very appropriate for each level and cute as heck.Lisa Adams explains absolutely everything that you'll need to get started with this fun craft. From the simple needles, to the more advanced tools and when/if you'll need them. She explains the different types of wool and which kind works best for what you are trying to achieve or the level you are at. Christmas Ornaments, Pincushions, Dolls, Keychain Heads, Bears and Rabbits, then onto creating your own variations.I've included a fun "before" picture of a bear I tried to make before receiving the book. He's a bit lumpy and uneven and has many defects, but I'm confident that with this books help, my next one will be much better. I love him anyway!I can't wait to get through the early projects and try my hand at the Mini Bears! They are adorable! And she shows so many variations that you'll never get tired of making them. I am confident that with this book, I will advance quickly and easily to making the mini Bears I've been dreaming about.Please note: I contacted Ms Adams and her publisher when the book was first put up for pre-sale because I was too excited to wait until I could buy it. This book was not quite what I was looking for, but it was an enjoyable read and it did inspire me to make a little bear, so I would say it was well worth the money spent. It was just what it says, basics to bears. I was hoping there might be just a bit more in offerings in the animal face area than there was. The books all seem to be somewhat specialized, birds, dogs or strange imaginery animals. I was wishing for a bit of a range of faces, but it did not happen here. That is not at all the fault of the book, it was just a wish on my part that did not quite happen. The book was well written, the photos were helpful and overall if you are new to needle felting this book was a good place to start.

I think i needed something even easier than this. but it did explain the basics. and i have been using it.

I am a beginner, and this book was exactly what I needed to start a project going. I did look on the internet and found a few videos that were terrific, but when you start a project, it's nice to have something right by your side so you can check immediately and see a close up. The pictures are great, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I love needle felting now and found the book a great way to begin.

New to needle felting, decided to give it a go after needing a couple of felt balls for a sewing project I was working on. I purchased a small beginner kit with basic equipment and figured I would see what else I could make with it. I started at the beginning of the book and have completed a few of the projects, including the cupcake pincushion which I have been using. Great pictures and straightforward instructions.
