Q: The spec said it's 2 x brass stud with nuts, but also said copper studs/nuts-which one is it ?

The nuts and washers are steel and rust quickly.

Q: can i just but the end screw on caps somewhere? i lost the red one to my power inverter and dont want to have to buy a while new set for 1 screwon cap

as long as they are the same size it should work just fine. I used them to make a battery box for my ham radio.
