Finally, a Toaster That Actually Toasts! (After Two Failed Attempts)
After two years of toaster frustration, I've finally found a winner in the Zwilling Enfinigy Cool Touch Toaster. In the past two years alone, I've purchased a Black+Decker ($40) and a Cuisinart ($80), both of which promised even toasting. Both failed miserably. The Black+Decker was a complete hit-or-miss, burning one side while leaving the other pale. The Cuisinart, while slightly better, was still inconsistent, and definitely not worth the doubled price tag. I was ready to give up on the perfect slice of toast. Then, I decided to take a chance on the Zwilling Enfinigy. I was hesitant given the price point, but the reviews were promising, and I was desperate. And let me tell you, it delivered! The Zwilling toasts perfectly, every single time. I've used it for everything from thin slices of sourdough to thick bagels, and the results are consistently golden brown and evenly toasted. No more burnt edges or soggy middles! What I particularly appreciate is the simplicity of the design. The single knob adjustment makes it incredibly easy to dial in the perfect level of toastiness. No complicated settings or confusing buttons. Just a simple, reliable toaster that does its job exceptionally well. Pros: Even and consistent toasting. Simple, intuitive one-knob operation. Cool-touch exterior (a nice safety feature). Sleek, modern design. Cons: A bit pricier than other toasters. If you're tired of toasters that underperform, I highly recommend the Zwilling Enfinigy. It's an investment, but it's worth it for the consistently perfect toast. I'm finally enjoying my morning toast again!

Finally! A toaster that toasts both sides evenly!
I approached this rather expensive toaster with some hesitation. I'd had a Hamilton Beach for a decade that gradually failed to toast one side adequately, and then one day quit altogether, unless I was willing to hold the handle down through the entire toasting process. I read hundreds of reviews of other toasters, and so many shared my big complaint: One side browns, the other doesn't. Or, if you like your toast toasted, one side toasted and the other burnt. Ugh. I figured that if it took some more coin to find a toaster that consistently browned both sides as the setting indicated, it was cheaper over the long run that experimenting with a bunch of $20 disappointments. And in the comments I'd found online about this one, it toasts both sides about the same. Amazon had the best price, and Amazon always makes shopping easy. So, I plunked down the dough and went for it. And it's been soooo satisfying! My toast is beautifully, evenly browned with no burnt edges, no squishy places, just terrifically reliable toasting. It works great for English muffins too. It gives great chewy with crunch there. The toaster itself is beautiful. Understated, it blends in and compliments the rest of the kitchen like a nice piece of jewelry with a LBD. It's easy to clean, and the drawer type crumb tray doesn't flop open and deposit your crumbs across the counter or floor like the hinged types. It doesn't make that loud heart attack pop noise when the toast is up, so you need to glance at it occasionally while making the rest of your breakfast. It keeps your toast well until you're ready to grab it. The extra long cord is a nice feature, too; sometimes, counter space is iffy; and some toasters offer cords so short it's difficult to get them out from under upper cabinets. This one offers lots of range for movement. It's solid and distinctively beautiful. And long after I've forgotten what I paid for something, I live with how well it works in my life. Do I love it? Does it work for me? Does it make my life a little easier, a little better? Yep. It's just a toaster. But it does the job with real excellence.

Dissapointing for Disappointing Reasons
Pros: (1) Toasts ok...not perfect but still "ok"...meets minimum expectations; (2) Crumb tray in front makes toaster easy to clean; (3) Wife thinks "it looks nice"; I agree. Cons: (1) Cost too high given the cons which follow; (2) Warranty application on-line is WAY too much to complete without a PhD in something (which I obviously don't have..."Patience", perhaps :-); (3) Toaster has a low, distracting "buzz" sound when operating; (4) Power cord wrap design on bottom of toaster is downright stupid (only 1 way around; not in the direction which would work best for us given what ends up at the back of the toaster); (5) Bagel/Defrost/Warm-up Buttons...at least on Black model..."camouflaged" in black print matching black buttons making them virtually impossible to read. Text should be readable without having to use a flashlight (which still presents a challenge); (6) Bagel/Defrost/Warm-up Buttons must be counterintuitively activated only after (not before) the bread is toasting; (7) The toaster's "Push Down Handle" is flimsy and feels like it will need continuing TLC; (8) Heat settings on control knob need to me made easier to read (more contrast and a bit larger print...they are readable, unlike the other control buttons, but could definitely be improved); (9) User Manual is "ok" but thin/low contrast type makes it hard to read without a good light...needs a "Font Transplant". In sum: I guess I'd have to say that I'm pretty disappointed given the price being asked. My best advice would NOT be to not purchase it but rather to understand what you're getting for the price that you're paying and to do your "homework" before making a final purchase decision. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of "Long, Wide-slot" toasters out there to be looking at and none of them are "perfect" so it's really more a matter of compromise than what I would want to have to be contending with. These folks have been in business, literally, for centuries and that alone makes things even more disappointing.

Superior Toasting
Once we figured out the settings, we are very satisfied with this toaster. Toasted bread has a crispy exterior but stays soft on the inside. The long slots don't comfortably fit 4 slices of the store breads that we purchase, but these long slots are very handy for toasting artisan breads or reheating half of a belgium waffle. The toasting quality is superior. The long and narrow desing fits well on my counter.

Finally a Great Toaster
After buying and returning THREE different brand toasters, this one finally toasts evenly. The 3 others were purchased based upon reviews. Not one toasted evenly; the coils did not light up evenly. This ZWILLING long slot toaster is heavy, toasts evenly at all settings and cleans easily. It’s German engineered, although constructed in China. It has 1710 watts. The bagel, defrost and warm pre-sets are easy to use. The cord is not lengthy but is substantial and has 3-prongs. The lift can be raised a bit more after automatically popping up when finished to allow easy retrieval of perfect toast. The crumb tray is discreet and empties and cleans easily. Various sized breads can be toasted easily. The outside becomes warm but not hot. So glad we made the extra purchase of the warming rack. The toaster was well packed in it’s own box which was then well-padded and packed in a heavyweight box for shipping, so no chance of it being damaged during transport. We’re very pleased with this toaster. This company and product deserves 5 stars!

SLOW and expensive
I bought this toaster to replace a Cuisinart that toasts very unevenly. I figured since we use a toaster daily, I was OK with spending the money (over $200 with tax) if it would eliminate the rotating of the bread I find I have to do with the current one. After testing it for a few days and comparing it "head to head" with the Cuisinart, I returned the Zwilling. It is SLOW. The coils seem to barely get red. I timed it on the max setting of 7 and it took 4:30 to pop up. I am OK with the waiting if it would have been a nice even result, but the bread came out barely toasted! In the same amount of time, I was able to get the bread in the Cuisinart (currently selling for $65) to fully toast despite having to rotate it halfway through. I would have had to wait another 3-4 min to put it through another cycle. It does look and feel nice but, for that amount of money, I want it to work better!

Best of the Best
I researched many toaster brands, from the low to high-end. I had a new KitchenAid toaster that was returned because while it looked great with our matching appliances, it didn't fit bread slices that were larger than the standard white Wonderbread. Our friends have Wolf toaster and said it's just "ok." Anyway, I gave this Zwilling a try for these reasons: 1) length - yes, while it's a larger size toaster it fits many various lengths of bread 2) width - fits bagels or larger hunks of specialty breads (olive) that one would cut themselves 3) matte black - no fingerprints and easily matches most kitchen decor/colors 4) owned by Henkel (didn't know this until I started researching this brand) when reading various "toaster" review articles and blogs 5) a good amount of options for toasting - number dial, reheat, bagel 6) reviews! So far this Zwilling has churned out the perfect toast, bagels and english muffins perfectly. It's super easy to clean the crumbs out with the removable tray. I tried many other toasters, and this is so far worth the money.

Works great. Best toaster I have had including ninja xl toaster oven and Breville toaster previously. I am learning the settings quickly but it toasts evenly on both sides, the pop up feature when done keeps me from having to use bamboo tweezers to pull the toasted/warmed/defrosted item out of the toaster when done. I have done two halves of frozen Belgian Waffles I make on the warm cycle and artisan bread just now. It is the most uniform coverage toaster I have ever had. not overly complex but it works like a gem. All I want. Best in my long life as toasters go...by far.

High quality, looks great - works well.
This is more money than I’ve spent on a toaster before and I’ve never been happy with any toaster I’ve had. They were all unreliable and inconsistent. I’m not a toast snob but I do enjoy toast and I’d like it to come out the same way each time I make some. Was that too much to ask? I have found my nirvana! Excellent product, great warranty (5 years) Happy at last.

It Works So Well
I purchased this toaster mainly be cause of the brand and the price was the absolute best. The squae shape appealed to me indicating that reliability was the sole purpose over fancy designs. Having used it daily for the past four weeks my theory has borne this out. The controls works so very well and provide an exceptional degree of control that actually work in as much as a basic slice of toast that is equally toasted on both sides be it bread, waffles or Bagels. The finished item comes out with a certain degree of moisture remaining and no over toasting which means no Sandpaper effect, by that I mean abrasive action to the mouth. Now I can enjoy toast the way it should be. It is solid metal construction weighs about 7 Lbs. and no burns from the outer caser when handling, due to excellent insullation. The toasting elements are first class with their even distribution of heat. The interior is designed not to trap Bread, Bagels, etc. and lots of space leaving crumbs to drop into the spring loaded, tray, base. No shaking this toaster. Great Buy!

Nice toaster when working right
Sorry Zwilling but loses a star when the unit out of the box does not work properly. The two outer grills would not heat up. Luckily it was still in warranty, and I had a nearby Zwilling store. So this is why it gets 4 stars (not 3) as the warranty was readily honored as it was under one year old and they replaced the unit completely (I had only used it for a week or so). Now hopefully the new one works as it should as it is a nice looking toaster.
