Blazing BVS-2 Wire Connector for Residential Valve Splices, Yellow, Pack of 20

These weatherproof low voltage connectors make wire connections a snap, literally. I am shocked that they are not readily available at every home improvement store, Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc., in the nation. I've used them numerous times on various low voltage projects, and they perform flawlessly and are just so easy to use. They are available is two sizes, differentiated by color (blue ones & yellow ones) and model number (BVS-1 & BVS-2), these are the smaller size. So, if you're looking for a game changing product for making low voltage connections, pick up a bag of these and you'll see just what an innovative product these are.

Perfect quality and fit

I wanted these connectors to be the permanent solution to failed landscape lighting connections, but they are too fragile. I've installed them twice now (front and back yard), so am pretty handy with the connections. But a string of lights will stop working, then when I jiggle the connection, they magically come back on. So if the lights work initially, and are connected securely (give them a tug), why do they suddenly become fragile and un-connect themselves? I'm about to give up and install a more stable gel filled connector with twisted wires because these are not worth it.

I just finished installing about 25 lights with these connectors. Out of 50 used, three were defective. Like at least one other reviewer, I had a problem getting the smaller wire to insert properly on these three connectors. Not a bad defect rate but still frustrating. Time will tell if they work. A few tips, always install the smaller wire first. It’s easier to install the smaller wire w/o the big wires in the way. Zip tie the 6 wires together, this will make them less prone to fall out. And finally, I hurried each connector in a bed of gravel so they are not sitting in mud during the winter. Time will tell how good they work but they seem solid.

Good value and no issues sorting the irrigation install. Less expensive than Sprinkler Warehouse.

These wire connectors were great. Did exactly what I needed them to do. Very easy to use just make sure you insert the wires all the way. Seems to be high quality and should last a long time underground.

I've never tried this kind of connector before. It was recommended in a video I watched and the other connectors I was using weren't working very well. The instructions leave something to be desired. But generally, it is not too difficult. Open the connector up, strip your wires around 11/16" in length. If you have stranded wire, twist them tightly together. Stick the wire in the right hole and you should see it reach the other end of the housing through the clear plastic. Then clamp the connector together. The first unit I tried, the two 12-gauge wires went easily into the large hole without any problem. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the 18-gauge wire into the small hole. I eventually gave. up and tried to stick a toothpick in, but even it wouldn't go in. Eventually after pressing hard, the toothpick went in. So, there must have been extra plastic blocking the hole. The next unit I tried worked better, but I had trouble getting the 12-gauge wires into their holes. I twisted the wire strands together as tightly as I could but ended up ruining a second connector as well. Once those strands get all bent back, you must start over with a new connector and re-strip the wires. It would be nice if they had a wire guide that would funnel the wire into the smaller hole that the exposed wire has to feed into. Also holding the wires so they stay all the way in while you are trying to feed the next wire in was challenging, but eventually I figured out a technique of how to hold the connector and wires with one hand while feeding the next wire in with my other hand. UPDATE: I ran into two more defective connectors - both in the 18-gauge hole. I took one of the defective ones apart and confirmed that it is the small plastic hole that sometimes isn't open enough to let the wire through. The metal part has a larger hole where the wire feeds into, so that is not the problem. Not sure why they have to make that hole so small. Other reviewers have noted the same problem. Buy extra.

Non immaginavo nemmeno ci fosse un prodotto del genere, comodissimi e pratici...mi hanno davvero risolto un bel problema, spero che in futuro garantiscano l'impermeabilità che promettono. Peccato non sia PRIME ma sono davvero validissimi.
