What is the amounts of nitrogen, phosphours and potassium?

It's 35-0-10 and in response to someone else; it's not gonna kill bermuda lawns using it over time :-/ . Been using this stuff since the 90's no issues. What kills lawns using fertilizer is when you keep using and using and using. Use it right the first time no issues will come.

May I apply it now (today is June 1, 2015)?

If you apply this fertilizer that contain 34-0-10 then the nitrogen will stimulate top growth which is not what you want in the winter time due to freezing weather. It's better to apply like 10-2-7 in winter. That way the roots are stimulated and not top growth.

Is it safe to apply this fall lawn food to newly sprouted grass seed? The grass is about 2 weeks old.

Avoid fertilizing any newly seeded lawn until after the 4th mowing. Scotts offers a fertilizer for newly seeded lawns that is safe to apply and recommended.

Will this work well in September in zone 9b, lower foothills of California central valley?

I applied this product towards the end of October, 2025. I will add to this review in the spring of 2026 two let readers know how it worked. In terms of the application, I used a long spreader with the recommended settings. No issues with the amount being dispersed or the quality of the granular.

Great value for great product. Grass was dried out and full of weeds. Very hot dry summer. Spread this fertilizer and after watering for a few days, grass is coming back nicely. Dark green and healthy looking with hardly any weeds. Extremely happy. Highly recommend.
