Pioneer receiver
This Pioneer vsx50 receiver is awesome !!It has many, many adjustments and settings, so if you can't understand the technical lingoin the manual, you had better hire the "GEEK SQUAD" or someonecapable of setting you up. It's definitely worth it.Saved $125.00 over Best Buy.Thanks Amazon !!

Hardware failure (UE22)
Google UE22 error before buying Pioneer receivers. Hardware failure appears to be quite common. Mine failed after a couple of years.

Pioneer Elite VSX-50 7.1-Channel 3-D Ready A/V Receiver
Great product. Flexibility and ease of set up is wonderful. Sounds great and enough power to drive music and videos to experience them as intended. Perfect for connecting to iPad, iPhones and iPod.

Triple P Rated!!!
The operator interface for this system is NOT user-friendly..... The appropriate term would be "User-hostile" IMHO. From time to time, especially when guests mess with my system the remote control fails to control the unit and manual control does not allow me to access the tuner function. After extensive re-reading of the operators manual I have been able to regain control of all functions until last night. A lot of the trouble seems to be related to an IPhone connection via USB which later disables access to most or several of the other features. Most recently the remote control no longer is able to remotely control the amp volume. For the amount of money I had to pay for this so-called "Elite" system it is obvious that I am not getting good value for money spent. Not long before I purchased this item I had to return a brand new Pioneer BD/DVD player defective from the factory......I recommend everyone steer clear of Pioneer tuner/amps and most if not all of their stereo and home theater products. BTW - Triple P stands for "pzz poor performance"!

Glass half full
I can't imagine in this era that anyone would make a receiver that doesn't have wifi on board. I had some trouble hooking it up so I called support, the gentleman was condescending, he acted as though I was stupid. Maybe this is just an isolated experience but I certainly don't expect a warm fuzzy feeling from them in the future.

Excellent!
Sounds amazing, it is very easy to use. Old A/V receiver took forever to connect, this one I got it working in minutes. It was a very good balance between price and quality.

Don't buy
Frustrating wreck of a receiver right out of the box. Oh and you have to connect it to a tv to set it up. It was a gift, would never have purchase myself.
