Worth the read
This book has taught me so much about the pet food industry. After reading this book, my dog is on a raw kibble diet. I never knew that dog food was livestock grade so there are very few regulations.

Awesome
This book was listed as being in "Acceptable" condition; it was actually brand new, as far as I could tell, PLUS it was signed by the authors! More importantly, it tells the horrific story of how big dog food manufacturers poison our beloved pets without compunction, caring only about their bloated profits. The authors provide guidance on how to feed our dogs healthy food that will help them live longer, healthier lives; they also point you to an on line, annually updated list of small, reputable dog food manufacturers who produce healthy alternatives to the "Big Kibble" industry. I highly recommend this book! So does my 14 year old Standard Poodle whose health and energy levels have improved since I stopped feeding him garbage food. It makes me sick that it took me so long to discover how I should have been feeding him all these years.

If you love a dog, or know someone who does
For the many dog-lovers out there, this book should be required reading. The authors have clearly done their homework on the wide and wacky world of dog food, including lack of oversight, frequently-repeated myths about feeding dogs, and corporate giants who own many of the most often seen dog food brands. I'm a cat person, and some of the information can be applied to cat kibble, as well. This book will make you angry when you discover the ingredients permitted in pet kibble, but it's also a wake-up call. You CAN do better by your best friend(s). Do your homework, and you'll soon find out that there are better and worse brands of kibble. The authors even include several recipes if you want to make your own dog food.

Must read!!!
Every Pet owner should read this book. These big companies are killing our pets all in the name of big money. I am going to be making my dogs food from now on. When they pass a law that pet food needs to be treated differently than animal feed that is for animals that are going to be slaughtered in less than 2 years I might look at it again. This book is an eye opener and makes you sick.

I liked the movie better! Pet FOOleD.
Saw the movie first. It is called Pet FOOleD! It wasn’t a brochure for the owners of this company! FYI, the movie is shorter, more accurate and is FREE on Amazon Prime! This is a $25 brochure I paid for. They should have at least given me a $25 discount on their food so I would have broken even. Also, they bash pet “feed” stores; however, they sell their product on Petco. Irony?Better yet, they want to label premium “Icelandic” fish oil on their packaging. Why don’t they list the vitamins and minerals added to their foods on their website and the country of origin? Ironic again! If Alanis Morrissette wrote a line about a pet food company....JFFD would be included!
