I assembled this myself. It took a while, but the directions were clear, everything lined up correctly, and they sent enough parts, with at least one extra screw of each size. It's very sturdy, and a very high quality piece. Even the back is completely solid, not that tacky cardboard. The shelf is just the right size to fit between my windows and looks super nice. The only thing that didn't make sense was that they sent a flathead screwdriver when the construction required a phillips. No biggie. I just went and got one out of the toolbox. If can't do that, you should probably get your dad to put it together for you.

I saw a similar bookshelf that I wanted for over 400.00 then I happened upon this one. I decided to give it a try and I am in love. It is not top overpowering for the space. Gives that retro feel. And the grain looks so beautiful, and it was pretty straightforward to put together. It is just perfect and for a fraction of the cost. Definitely recommend.

i actually ended up refinishing mine and it turned out fabulous!! i also cut out a hole in the back to run wires through.took about an hour to assemble. wish it was a little sturdier but for the price, i’ll take it!

I actually liked the product that I purchased. Everything came with instructions and all the necessary tools I needed to put it together nothing was missing nothing was damaged. So far I have set it up it looks very nice I use it as a nightstand/book stand in my bedroom it seems to hold a lot of different things such as pictures and books. For the price it is great too early to tell if it will hold up for the long run but for this price you can’t beat it so I give it a thumbs up .Hope anybody else who decides to buy it enjoys it as much as I have.

The assembly was difficult the because size of the holes for the B screws were not exact. One of the A screw holes was stripped when I tried to screw it. I had to use pliers to help twist and screw. It’s a nice product, but the picture is a bit deceiving in terms of size and brightness of the wood color.

Great bookshelf for the money. It is sturdy and easy to assemble. I was able to put it together in under an hour by myself. It's not real wood but it is more than particle board. Would buy again. It's shorter than an average bookshelf but the perfect height for my entry way. Fits 2 standard storage boxes per shelf.

I love this retro style bookcase! It fits in perfect with the decor in my bedroom I was going for. It’s very sturdy and not light weight, I do recommend having someone help you put it together. Other than that it’s super easy. I will be purchasing another one for my living room soon.

My 8 year old helped me assemble this and we got it up with no hassle in a little less than an hour. The quality for the cost is pretty good! Wood is heavier than most IKEA products and has a really nice feel to it. I'm not using the hold-to-wall tether, but it's pretty sturdy without it, although I wouldn't fill it too top-heavy with decor or books. Looks great in my space!
