The TJ chips - all of them,regardless of cooking method - leave an after-taste in my mouth that speaks strongly of stale cottonseed oil. I'm not suggesting they're cooked in cottonseed oil, or that the cooking oil is stale, just that is what it tastes like to me. Not particularly appetizing. These are tastier from the beginning, and leave no unpleasant after-taste. If you're having a big party, the size they sell at Costco is probably the best deal. They are good with salsa, hummus, ranch dip, tuna sandwiches. The only thing I don't like about these is that there are an awful lot of tiny pieces. Being an efficient snacker though, I've found that putting a scoop of ranch dip in a bowl, then dumping the chip bits on top and eating it with a spoon works fine.
