Orbit The Trouble with Peace

Possibly his best yet
Not much to add that all the previous reviews haven’t covered. I loved every single page of this book. Joe’s pace in storytelling is unmatched. I love the GOT novels but Joe builds such an expansive world and such fleshed out characters in a far more succinct fashion. A true pleasure to read. How he weaves so many threads of such a satisfying narrative, spread all over the circle of the world, is beyond me.His prose are on another level. I don’t normally bookmark a page for a great paragraph but I did for this (No spoilers): “They say belief is righteous, but to Muslan only doubt was devine. From doubt flows curiosity, and knowledge, and progress. From belief flows only ignorance and decay.”Just amazing. So annoyed I have to wait for the next instalment, but it’s a small price to pay for excellence. If you gave this less than 5 stars, reevaluate your life choices.Keep up the good work Joe.

Wonderful
I have read all of Joe Abercrombie's books and I do agree, this is the best yet. I'm no a big fan of fantasy, but.... I don't really think of these books as fantasy, they are more a study in the humanity. No one in his world are either black or white, life is far more complicated then that.which enables some of your favourite characters to be dispatched when you leased expect it.You do care, you do have your favourites and you are kept guessing. And, you are never let of the hook.I took my time over this, because I wanted to enjoy it, but the last 100 pages went with a flash. If they can make "A game of thrones" into a t.v series then this should be.Hope the next one isn't to long in arriving.

Finding this a struggle.
I've got to admit that I'm struggling to finish. I've loved every Joe Abercrombie book and read most more than once but I'm just not getting into this. I loved the first book and I'll persevere and if it picks up I'll give the book a higher rating if it doesn't I'll knock another point off.

More action in the background than the battlefield
An industrial revolution is coming, the magic waning and a changing of the guard happening in Abercrombie’s world. Still almost unremittingly nasty and bloody (and funny) with civil war breaking out owing to honour and manipulation but the good side win but at what a cost and what cost remains to be paid? Roll on the next volume!

Delicious
Abercrombie grabs hold of you and throws you head first into his world. Once there, You devour each page as voraciously as a starving wold devouring a deer in winter.I can't wait to get my paws on the next one. From the first page to the last, you're sucked into a deep, dark world with even deeper and darker characters.
