You need to check each offering... these mats can come in four different sizes (sometimes depending on the pattern) -- coaster size, small mat, medium mat, and quite large mat. Also, be careful washing them... get them too wet and the edges can peel up.

i am looking for these placemats in fabric. Not interested in corkboard

I had to go to the actual Portmeirion to order my fabric placemats and tablecloth. However, I LOVE the corkboard ones jyst as much.

what does size 16 mean?

Strong odor to these placemats. Is this normal and what can I do about it?

I haven’t encountered any odor from my place mats. I only wash the top side with soapy water and dry them thoroughly. Are you able to put the mats outside to see if the odor clears up from airing them ? Cork can sometimes give off an odor. I wish you luck...
