ShureSuper 55 Classic Black Edition

4 stars because it's not loud enough but my voice quality improved quite a lot when using this on karaoke! Sad news after 2 months, the unit stopped working.

Had to buy an XLR fethead inline preamp that you can then connect to phantom power supply to boost the audio.My Citronic mixer microphone input did not have enough gain to boost it for speech. Before purchase see if you can test a Shure SM58 microphone on your equipment to see if it works ok. The SM58 has a very similar internal head shell to the 55SH

The is a absolutely nothing to dislike about this microphone and everything to love about the microphone. It looks superb. It’s build quality is second to none. The sound quality is just exemplary. I have had numeous microphones over the year and this is just simply the best I have had. Well done Shure!!

Good price and obviously it's Shure! I've wanted one of these for years and it looks and feels great. Friends have commented on how good I found now too. I have friends who have had the £50 they look ok, but the sound and plastic feel doesn't cut it. Don't buy those!

Beautiful looks, stunning sound!! Brighter than an SM58 as uses the guts of the beta58. Has amazing feedback rejection, these retro mics often suffer bad feedback on small, loud stages, not this one. The Super Cardoid pattern localises the input pickup area to the front of the mic. Nice improvement on my live sound and it looks gorgeous too!

Had a good weight to it, looks amazing and captures vocals spot on. I had no fear of damaging it, more like or would do done serious damage of it fell on your feet.
