It's pretty cool as it's in 1/35th scale and punches out four different leaves in one punch. Can be used with different color paper, for different seasons.

This little punch is great, and does do what it says on the tin: it makes tiny 1/35 scale leaves. This means these are going to be great for model dioramas in that scale, but they're WAY over the scale for your miniature bases for tabletop wargaming if you're concerned about realism. Most tabletop wargaming items are 28mm to 32mm scale, which is roughly 1/64 scale according to wikipedia, so these are a little under double the size they should be to scale for wargaming. Leaves are about 5 mm in length.However, I don't really care about scale when I build terrain, and base models, because I play warhammer40k and "scale" is just a suggestion. I just picked up a leaf from my lawn, sat down and made a whole pile of little leafy bits to put in resin for a swamp diorama. I used to tear up teabags and use the loose tea as leaves, which is still a totally fine option, but the tea sometimes reacts with the water used in the sealing glue and I wind up with a stain where I don't want it. Using different colored leaves is better, you get a nicer effect when the leaves are mixed and just a little bit different from one another.Of course, you can use paper in this too! I wouldn't recommend that you use anything thicker than construction paper, I tried it on a basic business card and it required more force than I was comfortable with using on the thing. It seems to be made from tin, because based on the size of the die and the weight, there's no way this is made from steel.This does exactly what it says it does!. It just might not be right for your purpose, so review your purchases wisely!

Great little leaf punch. Size is right on for 1/35 figures. I punched a bunch of “leaves” out of a leaf from my yard, looks awesome. As others stated, it’s not heavy duty, so just go slow and easy and it will work fine.

Not sure if one I got was defective- the punch catches on itself, and if you try to punch ANYTHING that is above the consistency of newspaper, you face significant resistance. While lovely scale for what I can get, the fact that it catches on itself, and you're VERY limited to what you can punch? I dont think this is worth it for when you can get semi same results with premade. (Which sucks if you got this to make non standard sets, like I had planned to do.)

I have been looking for a tool exactly like this one for several years,now. I had purchased two separate leaf punches,one for Oak leaves and one for Maple; but found that a set of punches covering a wider variety of leaves was prohibitively expensive.Then I saw this! It at least allows some variety and at a very reasonable price. i AM VERY SATISFIED!

Las hojas cortadas quedan a una escala mayor a 1/35, pero en definitiva quedan bastante bien. Articulo muy recomendable para modelistas.
