The lid, outer, and inner tub parts are made from a polypropylene plastic. The grip at the bottom of the outside tub part is made from a material known as thermoplastic elastomer rubber. The inner tub can be removed from the outer tub. The two parts are not fixed together but are designed to make a tight fit to help with the insulation. I find that if I slightly squeeze the outer tub, this can help release some of the grip between the two parts.If you really struggle, or if a part were to break, please do let me know.
