Freezer is holding -10F
Within minutes of ordering this I started reading reviews and almost cancelled the order . Apparently 9 out 10 seem to be delivered with some kind of damage . Freezer was delivered , box showed no damage and because it spent all day in the delivery truck standing upright , there was no reason to wait before unboxing and plugging in right away . I got to say I was absolutely shocked , the freezer was well protected by the packing and was in perfect new condition ... no dents , no scratches , nothing broken .... plugged it in and it was down to zero in about 2 hours ... its a few weeks now and is about 1/2 full with food and is maintaining -8 below zero with no issues and a very minimal amount of very light frost ... I am glad I didn't cancel after reading the reviews ! Perfect size , great price and in stock with 2 day free delivery ... Can't wait till Amazon starts selling robots

It's nice don't worry
I have had this freezer for two months not any frost build up at all I live in a colder climate but when I open the door it sticks hard like it's sealed really tight and hard to open and when I close it you here it sucking it closed with pressure I have the setting on number 2 and it is at -10° this is a very nice fridge it did not come damaged at all although it is very light for a freezer and I could definantly see it being damaged if not handled with care it only takes about $40 of electricity a year it's energy efficient and very nice good looking not to bulky the one thing I can tell you is if you buy one when it is delivered put it where you want it and leave it upright for a day or two before plugging it in or you could damage the internals of it otherwise more then happy with this one thumbs up to Amazon..

Great size freezer for small spaces
This upright freezer is perfect for small spaces as a second freezer. The upright models are so much easier to organize food and to get food in and out of. The chest freezers force you to stack stuff and it's a major pain to see what you have in there or get stuff on the bottom without taking everything out. The shelves are evenly spaced and this freezer will provide plenty of space for a family of 4 that wants an extra freezer. This will not hold large racks of meat or huge bages of ice.The shelves are not removable, but that's because there are cold air coils built into the shelves. This is by design to give even cooling throughout the unit as there is no fan inside to circulate cold air. Also, the freezer does NOT have a LED light as the specifications say. This was a minor disappointment, and not a deal-breaker for an otherwise nice little freezer. But c'mon, why does it say it has a light when it doesn't?Installation was a breeze. This freezer is actually quite light. My wife and I had no problem bringing it down a flight of stairs. And it moves very easily on its rear wheels. The door is reversible if you so choose. That's why the pull handle is on the top of the door, which some people have complained about. It's designed that way to be ambidextrous. The door opens easily, and if it's properly leveled it'll stay open. When it's closed, the door suctions a bit to stay closed and sealed.I recommend this freezer. I hope it lasts. Fridgedaire has a decent reputation, so I'm hoping this will last for 10+ years.

Do NOT waste your money
I was originally drawn to this product due to the price, brand name and the fact that it would not take a year to actually have the item delivered. I read all the reviews and unfortunately I ignored the warnings and bought this mess. The item arrived early and I moved it to the area I had set aside for it's home. As I unpacked the freezer I noticed several areas of damage. I made sure that none of the damage had impacted the integrity of the freezer and based on my inspection the damage would not impact the freezers functions. Set the freezer, leveled it and let it sit for about an hour. After about an hour I set the temperature at the lowest level and waited another hour. Everything seemed to be working fine so I placed some specific items in the freezer that would not fit in my larger units.Next morning I checked on the freezer and was pretty disappointed to see the entire unit filling up with frost and ice on every interior surface. This has all occurred in less then 12 hours. The frost and ice continues to build despite setting the temperature on the lowest level. Obviously, this unit is going to be much more work then I had hoped for. Very disappointing, however I did not heed the warnings so I am stuck with this mess. By the way - trying to call customer service is a joke. You may think you have a Frigidaire brand supported by Frigidaire, think again. Calling Curtis International, LTD is a comedy show at best! Don't make the same mistake I made.

Excellent for the price! somewhat less efficient storage.
Ordered this to replace a slightly smaller freezer (5ish cu ft). This freezer has the hot side of the coils built into the sides so the outer sides get quite hot which is normal and just fine but limits how close you can place it to obstacles. This design also means that the sides are much thicker leaving the shelves inside feeling very narrow compared to my old freezer with external coils on the back. The shelves are also fixed in place with the cold coils built into them. Don't expect to be able to fit large frozen meats like a large ham or turkey in this freezer at all. That being said it has a nice exterior form factor and is very light weight with an excellent seal. It IS a MANUAL defrost freezer. (Take everything out and turn it off w/ door open for an hour to defrost.) However, if you use it for a deep freezer that you don't open as frequently and due to how good the door seal is you should not have to defrost it more than a couple times a year. Runs very quiet! I saw some reviews complaining of damage in shipping but mine arrived without any damage at all.Biggest drawback is the shelves being so narrow I can barely fit a 9x13 casserole dish in it and so close together that you can't fit tall items. But if you want it for mostly smaller items it is excellent.Side note I have not found any narrow, upright freezers with automatic defrost so this is the best I could find in that regard.
