Okay, but limited in use
Update: I have used these for four winters and they still work great. They are lightweight and easy to put on (and take off). If I think I will hit any icy patches on my walks I always wear these. Upgraded from 3 to 5 stars for durability and ease of use.I have used these for two seasons and they have held up well. The biggest limitation these have is that they are held on by a stretchy rubber strap. If these cleats grab the ice or snow they can slip off of the bottom of your heel and end up on the back of it. I have only had this happen when working in snow on uneven ground. I have not had any problems walking on packed snow or ice, and that is what I use these for (it is still worrisome when walking downhill, although they have not slipped off yet). I use the Stabilicer Hiker when I want traction in all conditions. You will want to order the replacement "spikes" as these will wear down, especially if you end up walking on bare roads where the ice has melted.

awsome
they aren't as good as a full boot set but these are really good, allowing you safe travels and yet also allowing you to enter buildings with no problem. I live in a village where the streets are icy for much of the long winter and these make me feel safe in my walks with the dogs and other errands

loose ice grip pins
The first time I wore the ice grips I lost a pin. So not very happy about that and had to order new pins. The pins need to be checked as they do not come tight. They work very well though in icy conditions. Easy to put on boots.

Not for Walking
They work well for very short distances. But anything more and the stud area lifts up to the achilles tendon and faces behind you. Not easy to readjust without removing them.
