It can be used for all my mixed media work including covering shiny papers making them user friendly for all pens paints and pastes etc. Not keen on the textured feel though. It makes my hands irritable. The gloss is also useful on certain pieces of collage but I now use this all the time. It dries within 5 minutes and a thin layer is whats needed. The gritty feel on drying is what makes the work user friendly and it appear that no matter what I use it on it sticks. LOVE it......love the pot, easy to get big brushes in ......love the ease of use BUT its still a bit pricy like all good stuff. Amazon is the cheapest place to buy liquitex products.
