Even though I prepare only a mug of coffee each morning (not a pot), the 03 size gives me plenty of room to do pour over without worrying about the overflow that the 02 size used to cause. The only downside of this holder is that if one uses a less than tall mug or cup, the dripping coffee in a pour over tends to splash out of the mug in the early dripping. This is an easily solvable problem. I guess many people will use it to brew a pot, which it would work fine for. The funny thing is that this holder with the clear glass dripper are really nice to look at sitting on your counter, strange to say, especially when you remove the spent paper filter and grounds. It looks like crystal. The holder is sort of a graceful shape.
