Tuttle Publishing Japanese Wonder Crochet: A Creative Approach to Classic Stitches

Poorly organised, not for beginners.
Some beautiful items nicely photographed. I was excited by 6-8 projects. But in all my years of crocheting, teaching, & collecting crochet books, mags & patterns this seems least comprehensible. Poor chart layouts are complicated with pointless text & almost illegible row counts. Patterns require readers to flick back & forth through different sections yet the ‘point lessons’ aren’t numbered!

poor instructional design
The cover design is great, but it totally belies what is inside the pages. The ideas are lovely, but the layout is hard to follow, fonts are ugly, everything squeezed on to too few pages, not enough white space. Soooooo many (tiny) photos and they do not even make it easier to follow.
