I would go at least a half a size up from what you would normally wear, the shoe runs small, but very comfortable.I would get a size 10 8f you wear a 9.5.

Q: Need Orthotics, are insoles remvable?

I just tried to pull out the insole of my pair and it came up with no resistance it is very thin though, maybe 1/8 " thick
