Wilton 704-9987 Clear Piping Gel 10 oz

Great gel! Coloured it blue and used it to make a pond on my grand daughter's fairy garden cake! She loved it!

I bought this to stabilize my whipped cream so it will last two-three days. It works! I haven't tried it for frosting, but I would think it would work.

Yes I have used this product many times, however this package this time has shrunk in size, like everything else price has not shrunk but all products have. I use this product for fusing fondant to cookies!.

In previous years, I've used clear gel, by customer request, to write on cakes. However, in this instance, my granddaughter created an "Insane Pools," per the tv show, designed 100% by her. I think she did a great job at only 7 y.o. I only baked the cake. She did everything else. Of course we needed gel for a swimming pool and a koi pond. Found this product quite easy to work with. It had very little flavor. Note that it is extremely sticky. I'm glad that I've watched probably every episode of "Cake Boss," which has helped me understand exactly what I needed to purchase and how to create "water." It was great fun with this product. BTW, I did use a piping bag, just to insure proper and "clean" application.

Besides using to enhance cake frosting decor, I can add a thin layer to sugar & shortbread cookies that I baked plain, & add sprinkles to pretty them up.
