On the Appalachian trail, October in NY.. I boiled water for coffee & 2 packs of oatmeal in the morning and soup each daily for 3 days. Approximately 7min per boil. I burned roughly 4-5 oz of fuel the whole time. I had a Trek 1400ml pot and boiled enough water selectively for each day. 24oz at breakfast and maybe 16oz at dinner. hope this helps. **Q: Does elevation effect pressure? Bottles leaked everywhere. Discovered all poured out when we arrived at our destination.** A: Elementary...higher the elevation the less atmospheric pressure. These bottles are safe from those changes when sealed properly.
