Bathing in "acid yellow" lime Jell-O water.
I bought this because I've read that Dead Sea Salt has healing properties, and I am trying to avoid unnecessary environmental toxins and chemicals (long story, but I have Lyme disease and a number of related complications). Dead Sea Salt is supposed to have essential trace minerals that assist in doing this. But when I added it to a bath, it turned the water the color of lime Jell-O--an electric bright green. I didn't see any artificial dyes listed among the ingredients at first, but then I looked up Cl 19140 (ACID YELLOW 23) and Cl 42090 ("TRIPHENYLMETHANE COLOR" with low, but present, "concern for organ system toxicity (non-reproductive)." Ugh. Why would anyone sell a natural product like sea salt and load it up with chemical colorants? I was looking on the ingredients label for FDA food colors, which I'm familiar with, but evidently a different class is used for cosmetics. The salt dissolved well and smells pleasant, but dyeing my bathtub lime Jell-O green was not my plan. I really wish this was just sea salt.
