Q: This item was supposed to be and is released by the manufacturer today, sept 4 2020. why does it say that it will not be shipped until oct 1- nov 1?

If you buy it from Amazon themselves you won't get it until 10-1-20 at the earliest. If you order it from a Marketplace Seller such as us Fulfillment Solutions Wholesalers LLC who also have it listed it will ship Tuesday 9-8-20 USPS 1st Class Mail or if you select Expedited it will ship USPS Priority Mail. Either way you should have it sometime next week unless you live far from the greater Minneapolis area where all FSW orders ship from. We are closed weekends and Labor Day that is why Tuesday is the first day we can ship. Orders placed today through Labor Day will all ship Tuesday Sept 9, 2020.

Q: How is this not in stock on its launch date?

To the person saying they sold out in pre-order: nope. The item has been available for months and was available a few days ago at a discount even. Also people who pre-ordered like myself were sent a massive delay of 1-2 months this morning. Basically somebody at Amazon done goofed. Activision should be pissed.
