fresh ice cream!
Kids loved this and are able to independently make their own ice cream / frozen yogurt. Frozen yogurt can be made in 20mins. Setting it up was a bit tricky but once done, its great.

What a great gadget, the ice cream is beautiful. Yes it takes a bit of prep, maybe 15 mins to make an easy custard. It’s not hard to plan ahead! Once you’ve done it once it is easy. A few hours later or the next day you add your final ingredients and then finish in the machine which takes 15-20 mins max. Yes it takes a few mins to get the ice cream off the paddle, yes it takes a few mins to scrape the ice cream out and maybe harden up in the freezer. But it’s all worth it, believe me, for amazing homemade ice cream without any additives. I’ve made blackcurrant, salted caramel and even frozen yoghurt. The family love it! If this all sounds like too much hard work then go and buy it from the supermarket and sit on your iPhone watching Netflix. Alternatively get a life and do something fun - make ice cream for your family!!

I love this machine. I don't understand the negative reviews. If i had space I'd buy two because you have to freeze the container the day before and I find the soft ice cream is at its best when you actually make it. That said it freezes fine. Quality depends on what you put into it, but there's nothing more satisfying than tucking into a bowl of your favourite flavoured ice cream that you made yourself ! Not too noisy and it only takes 15-20 minutes to churn.

It makes nice ice cream, I also got Ben& Jerry's book on kindle and it goes well with it. Pros: - nice homemade ice cream, well blended and emulsified. Note: they will never be as soft scoop as the shop bought ice cream, but there is no lengthy chemical content obviously, just all natural ingredients. Cons: -takes space on the counter, quite heavy to move - bowl needs to be in the freezer for at least 24 hrs and you need some room in the bigger drawer at all the times, especially if you make ice cream more often - you can only really make one flavour at once and then defrost, wash and freeze bowl again (you get what I meant by having a room in the freezer at all the times). I have managed to actually make 2 different ice cream, ie light and dark, keep them cooled in the fridge ready and then make the light ones first, dish out and quickly put the dark ones in later, whilst the bowl is still frozen. However, they need to co-ordinate as the light mix would be still stuck to the frozen bowl so kind of vanilla first and chocolate afterwards is fine. It makes nice ice cream, but it is too expensive for what it is and not that practical.
