I purchased this item for my mom's home stereo receiver setup and it works well. To date it hasn't forgotten any pairings, and the pairing process is relatively simple.

Just got it today so I can't comment on the battery life but it is very easy to use and works very well. I love that it doesn't need batteries and comes with charging cord and auxiliary cable.

If you're looking for a way to add a bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter that also has a microphone, this might be the best option. The microphone does a much better job of blocking out road and engine noise than my phone's speakerphone, and the extended cable and base let you position it wherever you need it. This is important because my car is quite loud from both engine and road noise. The audio sounds about as good as it did when I was wired straight into the head unit.The battery loses roughly 10% every 30 minutes; however, it doesn't seem to have an auto-off function, so I've lost 30% over 8.5 hours while I was at work. If there was one thing I'd like to change, it would be to have a separate button for power and syncing bluetooth or at least change the way it works. To turn it on, you just hold the button down until you hear the tone and see it blink twice. To turn it off, you have to hold it for 4 seconds. To sync to bluetooth, you hold it for 5 seconds. Unfortunately, I have a hard time hold it long enough to turn off but not too long to have it try and sync again. And considering the 30% you'll lose if you don't, it can be a bit frustrating until you get a feel for it.On the bright side, it does charge relatively quickly, and it uses a USB type-c port rather than the flimsy micro-usb ports I've seen on others. So, there's no need to worry about wearing the port out.Overall, I'm happy with it. If I need anything better, I think I'll just save up for a head unit that has bluetooth built in.

Bought this to play iPhone podcasts and music thru an old car radio since the radio lacks an Aux port or any other input besides the radio antenna.Couldn’t figure out how to change the FM transmit frequency. Called Schosche customer service, who explained that some steps were missing from the instruction manual on the Amazon web page. They emailed me the missing steps: To change the FM transmit frequency, hold the PLAY/PAUSE button until the FM frequency digits flash. Press the Track Forward or Track Back buttons to increment/decrement the FM frequency and match it to the (otherwise unused) FM frequency on your radio receiver. Press PLAY/PAUSE again to lock in the frequency.Had trouble pairing via Bluetooth. Schosche customer service suggested updating the phone to the latest iOS version. That worked.Audio clarity is fine for car audio. A self-adhesive Velcro strip (not included) holds it in place. Recommended.

Aug 28, 2023: The device worked yesterday for a little while but I started hearing blips and the sound cutting out momentarily. Then the device suddenly stopped playing music altogether. I tried numerous times to turn it off, on, off on and pair. Nothing worked. The little blue light blinked but nothing else. No music. I'm not happy. It was great while it lasted but it's useless now unless someone has a solution.July 12, 2023: Set up for this device was easy-peasy. It's a very small device so doesn't stand out or get in the way of anything. When I replaced my iPhone 6 with the iPhone SE, the SE did not have a port for headphones or an AUX cable. Now with Bluetooth and this device I can listen to my Amazon Music tunes in the car, through my car dashboard speakers. How great is that! I love it. Now I bought the car adapter for charging the device.

This is our second Scoche FM transmitter. We have a 2007 Mercedes with a great Harmon Kardon system. Really great sound streaming from my IPhone, no static no noise. Built in USB charger, and handy little remote that can control my phone. There are less expensive options out there, but I’m not going to skimp on quality to save 10 bucks!We have travelled with our Scoche, and have encountered static due to radio stations on different frequencies. Super easy to just change to a different channel on the car stereo and match it on the Scoche.

It's a great idea, but not exactly the best execution. Bluetooth range is fine, whatever, but what it needs is fm range. I'm carrying a handheld radio and it's static depending on if I hold it close to my chest or at arm's length while the transmitter is in my hip pocket. And I still have to hold onto the antenna to use my body for reception.

This transmitter was easy enough to connect and it does perform it's core function of relaying Bluetooth audio to FM radio.Sound quality is sub-par for any audiophile, but I was able to get the volume loud enough to hear over normal road noise.It is very portable, but this is not an ideal solution.The signal strength is VERY weak. Anything more than about 6ft from the antenna results in nearly no reception from the unit at all. While this may be standard, or perhaps even FDC restricted, it is quite inconvenient as my antenna is located along the rear car window.This may be cheap-ish... not sure that equals value here. I'll use it, but with a name like Scosche, I'm not sure there is much better available. The quality of the unit is fine, the quality of the audio is "meh", at best. Consider me content with this purchase, but not happy. I would definitely choose a new stereo head unit over this if I didn't care about keeping factory equipment in my car.
