Black wire is the + to the accessory you are installing. Brown wire needs to be spliced in with the - from the battery and to the - from the accessory you are installing. I hooked mine up to a 9 inch light bar on the front of my quad, works great but would've been nice if it came with a wiring diagram and maybe even a splicer connection.
