Lightweight and easy to store.
This is a perfect emergency poncho. It is lightweight and easy to store in a backpack and is oversized so that you can put it over a backpack or a purse. The material is very waterproof. It is thin and is not meant for heavy duty work.

Perfect for a humid rain storm in Vermont in the summer for walks.
This is the only poncho I have that I stay cool during the summer here when it's pouring. I love this thing. It is breezy and super light. On the negative side, it wouldn't hold up just going through the woods, catching branches on it etc. For what it is good for it's terrific - using them the way I do, I have several different colors, I've never had one rip. Just love them. The best thing is my feet don't get wet - the way they hang, they are forward enough to cover my shoes, then after drying it, I put it in a zip-lock bag, that way it fits just about anywhere. Woman of many ponchos, and this is actually my go-to. Did I mention how inexpensive they are?

Economical Frogg Toggs
It's their cheaper model for sure but great to have in your vehicle or an emergency kit. Im using it for my young Cub Scout. Figure out the rough size that works for them. So for length, fold the excess to the inside and duct tape it in place. As they grow, untape and let out more excess and retape. Also do similar to rhe sides if the arm holes are to large.

ok for light rain
ok for cheap poncho, they also are not good for a heavy rain. We purchased them for a trip to Disney and ended up having to use them, it poured hard and they were worthless.. We got soaked, they ripped.. If you want to stay dry I recommend buying something a bit better quality

save your money
Not much better than a plastic garbage bag and probably not as sturdy

No fasteners on the sides
There are no snaps, ties, or fasteners on the sides of this poncho, so the wind flips it all over. At one point, a gust flipped up the entire front of the poncho and showered everyone standing in front of me, along with a merchandise table. They were not happy. It was like when someone opens a dripping umbrella pointed toward you, but wetter. I thought this might make a nice addition to my emergency kit, but it might require some sort of belt, which I don't have room for. Also, the hood slides down easily, so I had to use binder clips to secure it to my hat. To be fair, my head is not small. But I thought my hat would be grippy enough to hold it in place. On the plus side, it was lightweight, breathable, and kept me dry (wherever it stayed in place). I saw a few comments about it not being durable, but it seemed stronger than I expected.

Expensive garbage bag
Flimsy one time use disposable type with completely open sides. Could have gotten heavy duty construction trash bags for this price and it won't rip.
