At the price I was expecting a so-so quality adapter with a lot of compromises. I was surprised at how sturdy and well made/finished it is. Everything fits securely with no rattling or wobbling when the knobs are turned down.The device is small - collapsed it's slightly shorter than the length of an average man's hand. When opened up completely the inside jaws are maybe a 1/4" larger than the short-side dimensions of the original 12.9" iPad Pro (wider bezel style).The adapter is all machined metal except for the rubbery jaw-pads and the raised black protective pads on front and back. Even the black knobs on top and back are machined aluminum. The device weighs slightly less than half a pound.The iPad is held securely with a little adjusting. I like the extra Arca Swiss quick release slots machined into the sides of the adapter, so the tripod can either attach at the very bottom or on the sides (attaching on the sides give better balance when tilting the iPad back).

This thing clamps down very secure, all metal no plastic parts. The only thing could be better is the rubber grips the shape.

I use a Microsoft Surface for a lot of whiteboard recording, and this is an excellent adapter for me. My other one was plastic and pretty flimsy, because I often orient it at a right angle, and that puts a lot of strain on the adapter. This one can handle it without even budging. Extremely sturdy and well-built.

Got this for my 12.9” Ipad and it works great, but it has to be out of its case. This is the only bad thing that I have notice…works great on a tripod.

Yippee! The Cimepro “resurrected” my 25 year old Manfrotto tripod with gear-head, and transformed it into a stable and versatile mobile platform for my 12.9 iPad Pro. It even fits with the Otterbox Defender protective case attached. And it has with 5 1/4” screw holes to allow mounting several accessories.The Cimepro is built solid, minimalist in design, and I couldn’t be happier.

Watch if you have a cover, I did modify mine to fit case. Nice all metal clamp.

This iPad tablet tripod is very strong. So far I brought 3 different kind, and this was thebest one I found. Highly recommend it.

By and large, does what's on the tin. One complaint, the bottom holder has a slight lip to keep the iPad from slipping forward; a the top holder doesn't have one.
