Mirka Miron 6x9 Scuff Pads - Gray - Ultra Fine - 1500 Grit - 20 Pack

I use these for woodworking and they are excellent. Because I use water based finishes, I don't use regular steel wool. I use this grade very carefully at the end for the first buffing with Dawn and water after 3 coats of polyacrylic and at least 24 hrs for my brand. (look on youtube for some examples). I then use finer grits of mirlon total then finer wet-dry sandpaper and get a wonderful finish smooth as silk to the touch. These are different from Mirlon TOTAL scuff pads that are finer and I use the beige-gold pad for the second polishing. Then very fine wet dry paper up to 4000 grit, then buffing in a wax coat. I like the mirlon better than other brands and especially the total. I use the other grits/colors of these pads on bare wood, too. These are also a great value compared to getting smaller quantities, but you might want to try a sample pack first to see if it's for you. Remember that these are coarser than the mirlon total though.
