Can I wash it in the dishwasher?

The instructions say hand wash, and you should always hand-wash sharp knives. The dishwasher dulls the blade. Now, OXO knives are inexpensive enough that if you're OK replacing them annually/2 years, then go for it.

Some of the comments regarding this knife is misleading...this knife has serrations ONLY O N ONE SIDE...if one closely observe the serrations it is definitely one sided.

Where is this knife manufactured ?

Don't know where it was manufactured, but no where near as nice as the original one. So if you are looking to replace one you had, like we were, look elsewhere.

Will this knife cut vegetables such as cabbage, bell peppers, carrots?

bell peppers yes , cabbage no you will need a 6 to 8 inch knife
