I believe it has helped her recover from 2 orthopedic surgeries & helps prevent severe arthritis. She thinks they are a treat & snarfs them right down without complaint. My complaint with this product at this point is that we used to get heart shaped treats. Now we get about 1/2 bag of treats & the rest is just crumbs & dust in the bottom of the bag. The first bag we figured was a fluke. The second bag was annoying, but the last one we received was literally less than half full of usable chews. The rest was powder. She won't eat the powder, even when we have sprinkled it on her food.
