Hunting for the ideal bra
36 DD. Like that the band fits as expected, with four settings of hook and eyes to attain the best measurement around the bust. The cups are lightly padded, so not too bulky and no nipping out. No underwire yet maintains bust shape. Yay! The only downside is that at the end of the day I started to feel the sides digging a little where the seam is thick. But then again, I am a busy mom, hauling and hoisting toddlers. But the ladies stayed in place through all of that!

Perfect fit padded black bra in an unusual size
I like the fact that there is a large black bra that is padded and in a small cup size (size A). I have a very unusual size (A large band size with a small cup size- size 46A). We are not all blessed with perfect breasts. Thank you to the makers of Bare Necessities as well as the shippers of Amazon for making it possible for a ‘hard to fit’ bra woman to get a beautiful bra in her very unique size.

Too small!!!
I bought this same Leading Lady bra (although larger) when I was 63 pounds heavier, and was very happy with it. To ensure a good fit for my new size, I carefully measured, and although my band measurement was 38", I ordered a 40 A, just to be safe. My previous size was 46 A, 4 1/2 years ago and 63 pounds heavier. When I put this bra on, it was EXTREMELY small! Both the cup size AND the band. It was so tight, I questioned if going up to a 42B would even be sufficient. So I measured the circumference of this new bra -using the outer hooks - and it was less than 33"! The bra doesn't have enough stretch to comfortably encircle a 38" chest - let alone the 40" chest for which this bra is labeled. My old 46 A bra's cups are currently too large. (Not unexpected) But why are the cups of the 40 A - just 3 sizes down - so much disproportionately SMALLER?!! To make things worse, I got busy and forgot to return the bra, until past the return deadline. So now I am stuck with this bra that I couldn't possibly wear unless I lost at least another 25 pounds or so. Leading Lady makes nice quality bras for those of us who are unusual sizes - but it doesn't help us if the sizing/quality control isn't consistent. It's the reason I ordered inexpensive lower quality bras for the past 4 1/2 years instead of continuing to get Leading Lady. I previously had problems with inconsistent sizing between your different styles. And although I ordered a style which previously worked for me - apparently that didn't matter. For comparison, I went out to a store and tried on some bras. (About 12 different styles) Obviously they don't have 40A; the closest I could find was 38B. In general, the band was a little snug and the cup either fit or was a little too big. My final analysis: the sizing of your 40A is far too small.

Band Runs Way Too Small
It's always hard to find bras with a small cup and larger band size, so I was excited when I spotted this one. Ever in search of a decent bra that fits properly, and after reading reviews that said the cups ran large and the band ran small, I decided to go out on a limb and order one. To be sure, I took my measurements, and by normal sizing, I need a band of 40 in an A -almost B- cup. And that has pretty much been my size for over 10 years. I can and do wear a 40B in some bras (namely underwire, stretchy fabric ones without the padding), but a formed B cup is a little too big- it gaps. So, with the band size reported to run small, I upped from my usual 40 and ordered a 42. I was shocked.. the band was still way too small. I added a bra extender just so I could try it on, and the cups were a perfect fit, but even with a 2" extender it was still way too tight. I removed the extender, laid the bra out flat to measure it and it was barely 32" across! I returned it, and while I want to reorder in a 44 or a 46, they're more expensive, go figure! Plus, I'm worried that the straps will be too far apart and wind up slipping off my shoulders. While the bra appeared well made, I had to take off 1 star for the outrageous discrepancy in the band size. I feel bad for people who order this bra, but do not have the option of free return shipping with Amazon Prime Membership. If you find yourself in that boat I strongly encourage you to contact the seller to resolve the issue. It's not fair to sell an item that does not meet a universal sizing standard. I did go ahead and order their "Underwire Padded T-shirt Bra' in a 44A. I'll review it on that page when it arrives in a couple of days.

Small cup big band
I was a 42C before my double mastsectomy. Even with restoration i ended up an A cup. I went to a specialty shop and paid $60 for a bra. Then I found this retailer who carries small cup sizes in a 42! And for half the price. I need a lightly padded and this was perfect. I am very happy and will be ordering more.

Good for large band/small cup ladies
54A - I like this bra and the fit. I used the size chart on the leading lady website, and I measured 50 inches for band size and 54 inches at fullest part of bust. The website calculated a size 50D, but I bought the 54A because I know that with my build, I am bigger around and my boobs are small. Plus, I like my band on the looser side and I have tried the calculated size in other bras, and the fit was WAY off. There is a tiny bit of room at the top of the cup of the bra, but it is not a deal breaker. I will consider buying in different colors if they are available.

Close enough?
Finally found a bra with a bigger band size. I ordered a B50. I feel like I'm a C cup but I've had kids so they are not as full as they one were so I got a B thinking no way I'm a A cup. Got the bra and the cup part looks like a D size. Fits good not tight at all. I can still wear it just lots of empty space of top.

Fits a little bigger then expected
Fits well all around just a little big in the cups, I ordered an A instead of a B like I normally would and it's just a little bigger then I would like. But it is very comfortable.

Leading Lady Bra
I require a larger width than I usually wear. Sending this one back and reordering a size up.
