Not an audiophile, but these sound great!
I'm not an audiophile whatsoever. I have no opinion when it comes to various speakers and their "rich mids" or "strident bass tones". I saw these were well-reviewed and in my budget, so I bought them. And they're perfect for my needs. I'm not editing video or audio tracks, just listening to music and games. I love that you can connect them with Bluetooth. However, there's not much point to be honest because the difference between not having a wired connection and having a wired connection is one wire. These speakers are already connected by a wire and the power is another wire, so you're not gaining much by not using the provided AUX cord. Though I suppose if you had a configuration in which you could only provide power and not reach the source with a cable, then these are still stellar. I compared the sound quality of Bluetooth vs AUX, and honestly, it's precisely the same. I gave three stars to bass because I had to go into Windows settings and boost the bass from there artificially. There is no sub with these speakers, so this is to be expected.

Great for laptop on AUX 3.5 mm jack AND another BlueTooth source (Google Nest Hub) at same time
UPDATE: These are the best speakers at this price point you can buy. Do it. I just did my 3 tests: 1) Dvorak Piano Quartet in D major; 2) Kinks "To the Bone" version of "Lola" and; 3) Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here". Tone, spatial BS..., whatever, these sound like music. Oh, the bass is lacking but, come on, look at the footprint. I don't know if you can DM here but if you buy these and don't like, I'd love to know. These are honestly very good. Nice to have the AUX 3.5 mm jack (patch cord included) to connect the laptop and Bluetooth for my Google Nest Hub. It plays both audio streams simultaneously with no mess and no fuss. Added the phone as a second Bluetooth source and I haven't quite figured out how to seamlessly switch between two BlueTooths using Logitech's "Easy‑Switch" technology but that is probably pilot error. Seems I end up disconnecting from one and connecting the Z207 to another in the phone's settings or the Google Home app as appropriate. No biggy. Awesome speaker solution even with my deficient operator skills. Sound is far more balanced (less tinny) than the laptop and the Google Nest Hub speaker. Built-in amp lets me fix low laptop volumes on some streamed content. I specifically looked for amplified speakers with a power brick and the AUX capability vs. a USB-only solution but that's just me. Your mileage may vary.
