Reliable masking fluid. Works well and easy to remove.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve used this masking fluid for years, and it has never let me down. Recently, I tried switching to a different brand but eventually went back to this one because it works perfectly for me. After drying, it doesn’t let water through, and I don’t have much trouble removing it. Just keep in mind that it has a strong smell, though not overwhelming. Here are some tips I’ve learned over time, if it helps anyone:- The best way to apply this or any masking fluid is with a silicone tip. It’s soft and allows you to spread the fluid evenly. Using brushes can damage their bristles, but if you choose to use one, select an old brush or one you don’t mind getting stained. Be sure to wash it immediately after applying the fluid to prevent it from drying on the bristles.- Since this masking fluid has a beige-yellowish tint, the longer you leave it on, the more it can stain the paper.- It can be removed relatively easily with your fingers or a curved tool that won’t damage the paper. Always be very careful, especially with 100% cotton paper, as it’s more delicate (and expensive!). It’s a good idea to test the masking fluid on a separate piece of paper before applying it to your final work.

Tiny sheep.
I used this to make little dots on a hill and painted over the dots (I'm a beginning watercolorist) and then rubbed the stuff off (came off very easily) added four tiny legs to each white dot and a tiny black triangle for the face, and had sheep on a hillside! Anyway, the stuff works fine.

Love it
My standby for masking during watercolor painting. Nice and thin, goes on opaque. I also purchased masking tools (metal) that make it a breeze. I will continue to use this product.

Good product
Windsor Newton products are a good quality. This masking fluid does not disappoint. It’s a light color and a very mild odor. Applied smoothly and when it came time removed easily.

Versatile addition to many projects.
I love this stuff. I use it when making watercolor paint. Super easy to use. Simply add half a teaspoon to your watercolor mixture and voila you have iridescent paint. I've also used it to give glass a frosty appearance. Works wonders. Dries fairly quickly.

A+ product!
I love this for my watercolors! It works amazing well for blocking small areas where negative space is needed, or just keeping areas safe when you want to paint them after the majority of the field is flooded with color.

Perf3ct!
I have joined an art class and the concept of using this to preserve white space was introduced. I left on for over a day and it still came off easily. Good quality.
