Pelican Full Set of Genuine Storm Replacement Multi-Layer Cubed Foam for iM2100 Storm Case

I use this foam in a Pelican case which holds sensitive electronic equipment, the sort which is rectangular in size. I've tried many other kinds of foam - stiffer foam which doesn't yield easily, softer foam which does, but nothing beats the cubes for usability. I used razors, art knives, rulers and extreme care, but it in the end the shapes always came out ragged, rough, and far from square. I doubt I could manage a really clean job without an actual laser cutter.This bypassed the need for all of that. Basically, the foam pad comes pre-cut, except for a very thin layer of foam in the very middle of the pad. It is a simple matter to pluck out the cubes - really, the little square columns of foam - in the approximate shape of what you want to store in the case. I haven't had any issues with too many cubes coming out at once, if you use even the slightest care, you can be sure that you are removing only exactly what you need to. Each column is about 1/4" square I believe.The set comes with an undulating top insert, and a solid bottom insert, as well as two pluckable cube inserts for the middle.I would definitely recommend this as the replacement foam for the Pelican case over alternatives. It might not be as good as inserts which have been custom-shaped to components, but it is about as close as you can get.

Fits, though they do not ship it in a box, they just wrap the foam in a plastic envelope. Seems this lead to it being damaged in shipping (plastic was torn and water had apparently leaked in) but still worked.For the price they're charging for foam, would think they could splurge for a cardboard box.
