Firstly: I advise getting more information that what is provided in package. If you do, you'll make a bright vibrant tie dye like you see at a county fairs and such. Yes, there are just 3 colors and black, but with patience and the right information, you can mix any color you like. Even though it was a bit messy, I found the color mixing part fun also. The bottles provided are cumbersome and tend to leak. I ended up ordering small needle tipped bottles, and was glad I did! This is really more of a small adult tie dye kit. For a kids party: just get a cheap Chinese made kit with a lot of colors to bypass the mixing part. The colors won't be as vibrant, but will still look great

This was my first time tie dyeing and this kit was very simple to use! The instructions are very clear and everything needed is included in the kit. I did have some tiny clumps of dye on my shirt, but I turned it inside out before starting so you can’t hardly see them when the shirt is worn. I did avoid the black dye as another review had issues with that one, so I have no feedback on the black.Overall, excellent kit and my experience makes me want to tie dye more!

My daughter wanted to make matching shirts for her and her friends. I soaked and swirled them. She dyed them all herself. They only set for about 6 hours & still turned out great! Quality product. 10/10

I have never been super successful at the old school ways of tie dying. Tried this out. It did about 4 shirts. Colors are super deep. The shirts all came out terrific.

This kit works great and you don't have to be a tie dye expert. The kit comes with soda ash which made all the difference. Used for a school project with 3 year olds. Also bought as a gift for 9 year old niece. Did 8 kids shirts size 4T, 1 adult shirt 3x, and had plenty dye leftover.
