## Description

Decibullz top rated DIY Thermo-fit Molded Earpieces combined with percussive filter technology. The NEW Decibullz Custom Molded Percussive Filters protect users from the peak sound pressure of gun shots, artillery fire and explosions, suppressing them to safe levels and protecting users from potential long term hearing damage. Developed for shooting and military use, the Decibullz Percussive Filters feature optimum protection from high level impulse and percussive sounds. The filters are ANSI IPIL certified up to 166 dB. When no damaging noise is present, the Decibullz Filters provide a low attenuation, permitting voice and ambient noise to be heard. The allows for situational awareness not provided by traditional hearing protection. Shaping the Decibullz Thermo-fit Earpieces is easy. Simply warm the earpieces in water and shape them to your ears. If the desired fit is not achieved the first time the earpieces can be re-heated and re-shaped. Unlike electronic hearing protection the Decibullz Percussive Filters retain sound directionality and spatiality, this is crucial in hunting and combat situations. The filters also allow air to enter the ear decreasing ear canal irritation. Combined with its small size and Decibullz Thermo-fit molded earpieces the filters are ideal for all day use and easily fit under communications headsets and earmuffs.

Review: Working as advertised - I am still evaluating them in the current shape of my first attempt, which doesn't feel perfect and I feel I can do it better next time. Also still testing the different foam cups to find the right size, but, despite the "less than perfect" fitting feel, so far the results are good. I am surprised how well gun shots are dampened compared to the level of audibility of general intensity ambient noise. You can have a normal conversation with the plugs in.
Review: OK but not as good as should be - Bought these so I can hear orders on the rifle range. It only works a little better than straight earplugs.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the protection rating for these with gunfire?**
A: I don't know the actual rating per se but I have used these with shotgun, pistol and AR15 with no issues of bleed through whatsoever. They functioned flawlessly every time. In between lulls toy can hear range commands clearly and can carry on regular conversations without having to shout.

**Q: What is the main difference between these and the Custom Molded Earplugs?**
A: Totally different. Custom molded plugs go deeper into the ear canal past the second bend. The Decibullz are only molded to the outside of the ear or bowl. The greatest protection is when it’s molded to the aperture, or opening, through the second bend. Custom molded plugs can be made with a filter which blocks noises over 85dB but allows softer sounds in, such as conversation. Cost is about the same. Trust me, get custom molded plugs.

**Q: They allow me to ear voices (colleagues) and block noises in marine engine room? Not blast, is a constant noises**
A: Our Percussive Filters are designed to block out sudden loud percussive noises such as an explosion or gunshot. If you are looking for consistent noise reduction I would recommend checking out our regular Custom Molded Earplugs https://www.amazon.com/Decibullz-Earplugs-Comfortable-Protection-Shooting/dp/B00WIXL6IM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1494436138&sr=8-2&keywords=decibullz. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us at support@decibullz.com.

**Q: What is the NRR?**
A: Thanks for reaching out. The new percussion filters are designed to block out loud percussive noises while still allowing ambient noise to pass through. When a loud percussive noise is not present the earplugs will have an NRR of around 10. As soon as a gun blast or any other loud percussive noise goes off, the filter will close bringing the NRR up to as high as 33.

### ⭐ Achat inutile
*by A***. on 2 July 2024*

Après avoir essayé de les mouler le plus correctement possible, les dispositifs ne sont toujours pas réducteur de bruit. Ça ou rien c’est pareil. Ne l’achetez pas à moins de vouloir jeté votre argent à la poubelle.
