TMS 800 LB Low Profile Extendable Non-Drilling Steel Pickup Truck Bed Rack Sport Bar Rooftop Tent 2 Bar Set (Sportbar, 21'')

I figured I wouldn't be alone in the search for affordable RTT racks. I mounted these on a Chevy Colorado for use with my 125lb ikamper mini. The welds are solid (obviously not as quality as a custom fabrication shop) but will get the job done. Yes, they arrived slightly scratched as the paint is thin. I threw the supplied (China) bolts and hardware package away and went to my local hardware store for replacements. I really didn't mess around with the rack/ rail mounting system, but instead just drilled and bolted the set-up directly to the bed of my truck. Fitment and adjustability were good to go. My only concern will be wether the set screws are adequate enough for holding the top cross bars down and in place? If not, I'll end up running a tru bolt to fix the issue.I was prepared to take the racks to my local welding shop if the welds looked bad. But over all I am extremely happy with the racks, especially for the price$$$. RTT's are super pricey and I really didn't want to dump another 1k on a rack that was overkill. I am not an 'Overlander', but rather just a guy who likes to camp. Hope this helps.

Great rack system for our 2003 Nissan Frontier for our many Lowes runs. The only downside is the finish. This was purchased and installed just a few months ago, there are already signs of rust and oxidation. We plan to scrub it down, scuff it up, and coat it in spray on undercoating.

I needed this for a 7+ hour trip for two kayaks. I installed on a 2022 Tacoma short bed and because one of the kayaks is a wide fishing kayak and 11.5’ long, I purchased a cheap j rack for one of them to make sure everything stayed on. Watch a few videos on YouTube for properly tying down a kayak on a roof rack.This rack worked as needed and is easily removed/stored when not in use. So far, I am extremely happy as a Thule or Yakima is over $1000 for just the basic components. I normally have a tonneau cover on the truck so this will only be installed a few times a year. I was skeptical but it made it there and back without issue. On the highway we were going 70+ mph for most of the trip and we took several winding roads in Tennessee. I added pictures to show how I oriented them and how I added foam pipe insulation to half of the cross bar for the kayak. Big chain hardware stores only carry up to 1” pipe insulation, this worked fine for me, just use zip ties. Final opinion, if you are only going to use this a few times a year, save your money and buy this instead. Even if you used it more frequently it seems like it will hold up. Other reviews mention rust on the welds and chipped paint, I’m sure I’ll have some of that too but for the cost difference it is not a huge deal.

CHEAP RACK FROM CHINA , TYPICAL CHINA QUALITY . MISSING HARDWARE . I WOULD'T TRUST IT WITH A ROOF TOP TENT IF YOU ARE GOING OFF ROAD ,PROBABLY OK FOR LADDERS AND 2X4 'S . BOLTED RIGHT UP TO MY 2006 TACOMA'S BED RAILS .

Great product! Exceeded my expectations and fit perfectly on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Bought it to haul my kayaks and gives me room for 2 on top of rack and 2 in my bed. Very well made, sturdy, assembled super easy!

Returned but wanted to keep the item. It seem well build at a great price. It just does not fit Gen3 Nissan frontier with untili-trac. Mounting screw holes does not reach the untili-trac. Could not find adaptor that would allow for mounting therefore item was returned to seller.

This rack was exactly what I needed. I wanted to put a rack on my utility trailer. This worked perfectly. The 18” put the crossbars right above the side rails. With this I can put kayaks, rafts, or lumber on top and use the space underneath for extra storage. My Karavan trailer has closed frame on the sides. Drilled holes through the rack braces and trailer, tapped threads into the trailer frame. Mounted with 1/2” bolts.

I really wanted to like this product. I’ve been looking at it for months. Parts came easy to assemble but was missing some essential mounting bolts. As it sits right now I still have to secure the side with the ladder. Off to Home Depot we go

For anyone who owns a Tacoma, you can see how it fits. Feels very solidly built, powder coat looks good. Handles Kayaks and SUPs easily. Overall very solid design and build.Update - after a month. I am seeing some rust dripping from the inside of the tubes. Not a huge deal given the price - I think some a touch of spray paint inside the tubes and or some oil spray should minimize.I did loose one of the plastic end caps. I'd make sure yours are in solidly. Only one came off, I suspect as a result of taking my kayak off. Just something to be aware of.I'd still recommend this.

I have a 2019 Nissan frontier P4X. I got this rack to mount a roof top tent on. I did see reviews saying it doesn’t fit frontiers, but when you flip the utlitrack system it works (don’t give up when trying to line the bolts back up, it does fit but is tight).It’s very sturdy when mounted and you do need to set up the entire bar and then tighten the bolts to bring everything together.Delivery was not well communicated, but it did arrive almost a month after ordering.I would recommend this product so far! (18” setup FYI).

The paint is a disaster! Chips and scuffs all over the place! Some even had attempts to cover the big chips.Over all TERRIBLE CONDITION!

Très solide, mais vu l’eau entre a l’intérieur pcq c en plusieurs sections, l’a rouiller coule sur la peinture du truck à la première pluie 😐 , mais c solides et pratiques
