I cry a lot and you would never know it with this mascara.

Saw the negative reviews, thought I would give it a shot. Nope, reviews are accurate - terrible brush, very thin, smudges, and....comes off with water???

It has a very thick brush and is a little harder to get a good coating on the lashes and does smudge below the eyes.

My eyes are EXTREMELY sensitive. After trying multiple mascaras this is the ONLY mascara my eyes will tolerate. So many brands I tried claimed not to irritate eyes or smudge and either the ones I tried did one or the other or in many cases both. After much frustration and more money spent than I'd like to admit I FINALLY found a mascara that's perfect for me. Due to eye surgery and the use of eye drops my only option is a waterproof mascara. As many people know most waterproof mascaras are less tolerable than regular mascara. So the search was real! I can wear Mineral Fusion Waterproof Mascara all day without getting irritated eyes or smudging and comes off easily with Mineral Fusion Eye Makeup remover. Best of all, after all that my lashes look great! It is extremely rare I leave a review, but in case there are others in my situation I wanted to be sure and share. Tip: I do not prefer the brush that it comes with due to being too large and so I purchased disposable blade shaped wands for the application. This also will decrease the chances of bacteria getting in the tube of mascara and will last longer!

I love the formula of this mascara. It doesn't flake or smudge on me at all and is waterproof. My lashes are soft with this formula on them which I like. It would be five stars if not for two things. First, the color. It is not "cocoa" or the "reddish brown" anticipated. As a natural redhead who prefers natural looking makeup I really, really wanted this to be an actual reddish brown/cocoa color as described. But it's black. Thankfully a soft black so it's still wearable for me even if more noticeable than I'd like, but not the stark black like all the far more common "blackest black" mascaras that are more common. And secondly, as many have stated, the wand is a bit ridiculously large particularly at the end and that makes applying the product awkward and difficult. My usual mascara is about at it's life expectancy and it's greatest downfall is that it is not waterproof and as someone with watery eyes who wears contacts and frequently uses rewetting drops to keep said contacts from becoming uncomfortably dry, I really want to find a good waterproof mascara that's actually a light brown/auburn shade, assuming it exists which so far it doesn't seem to. I'll probably be sterilizing the wand from that mascara to use with this one to make application easier. I really do love this formula. It just needs to be made in an actual cocoa color and with a reasonably sized wand!
