Hi! The handles are stationary. The item is small for the price you pay for it. It’s about 3 inches height and length. If you are familiar with the brand Bruder we thought this was a comparable toy brand size wise. Our son still plays with it and is happy we could find a Zero turn toy for him. Just the size of it wasn’t what we thought. Hope this helps!
