Let me first say this is the BEST invention we found after trying to get our dogs leg wound to heal for weeks, but she kept getting at it until we found this. Will it stretch a bit, yes but we washed it anyway and with a bit of drying from the dryer it got it back into shape. Be careful not to use too much heat, but some heat helps! This is just from my experience! And as the other person mentioned, the harness is adjustable in size where it snaps around the back!

Q: Will this work on a three legged dog with front leg missing?

Don't see why not, but if you're going to try fitting a prosthetic Into it, it's not that strong. It is reversible for either front leg though.
