We have noticed the floors become extremely slippery as a result of the substance in the sand. What would recommend to remove it/clean the floors?

We always put wax paper down to play on.

I'm not familiar with kinetic sand, but feeling through the package, it feels very hard. Is this the normal consistency?

Once out of the package, it’s very soft!! It’s so much fun to play with. My grandkids love it and there Dad even couldn’t stop playing with it. It’s an awesome product. I have bought 4 large bags.

What are the ingredients?

From what I could find out, the ingredients are 98% regular sand and 2% polydimethylsiloxane. This second material, a type of silicone, makes the regular sand squeezable and moldable for extra fun and creates the humidity and texture necessary to never dry out and keep playing with a clean surface.

can it dry out if I leave it in a sand box?

Kinetic Sand doesn't dry out. If it is affected by humidity, simply add a few drops of water and Kinetic Sand will return to its original state! We hope this helps!
