First try made it dry out more & didn't have the right amount of slip in hair. My older daughter also deemed it "for babies."I ran across Fresh Monster & thought we'd give it a try & we're so glad we did!One child (8 yrs) has very thick hair & has a very sensitive scalp (ASD & SPD) which has caused many years worth of distress during combing after washing. After using the two in one, no tears from snarls! Also, she doesn't think it's for babies!Second child (5 yrs) has baby fine curls that are nearly waist length. The two & one worked well & we may add conditioner to help moisturize her curls.The datangling spray has more slip to it than others were have used.
