Small, quick, expensive
Quick and timely same-day delivery.Fancy packed in an aluminum box.It is a small thing, the total weight with cable 158g, easy to take with.I bought it to be a TimeMachine drive for my newest 14” MacBook Pro M1plus.Connected to Thunderbolt 4, it took 34 minutes for the first full 1TB backup, significantly better than my 2 years older USB3 WD HDD which took 6 hrs on the same computer. It is getting very very hot during constant 30 min work, so be careful. This is surely influencing the performance, since the transfer rate decreases with the data package size and device heat. The forthcoming backups for about 1GB were fixed in less than a second, so I think it can bring the sticker speed of 2000MB/sec or better.Unfortunately, I didn't check the performance up front on the “empty” SSD.For someone who needs to have a small, quick, and easy to carry Time Machine drive or quick transfer of smaller data packages - it is a good choice. However, it is still very expensive. And, the color is not the MacBook space gray, but this may not be technically relevant.First impressions: handy, funny, and quick. If you can effort it - buy it.PS: one star down is for price only (almost the same as in the US, but slightly cheaper than the UK).
